Over the years, the Traverse City Parrot Rescue has had over 100 birds surrendered to our care. Most have found loving homes, but many have found permanent sanctuary with us at our home in Traverse City. They enjoy a 20x12' outdoor aviary in the summer and enriching support when they move inside for the winter. Thanks to generous sponsors like My Safe Bird Store, the Gaylord Parrot Rescue, Wisconsin Millet and many more, we are able to house and care for these precious birds for as long as they live.
We have now transitioned our rescue to a sanctuary and no longer adopt out birds. The birds here will live out their life in a stimulating, loving environment. If you are interested in this option please contact us at [email protected] for further information on our lifetime of care options.
Currently our outreach consists of educational seminars at schools, events, bible camps, and at organizations to teach people how to care for parrots and how to create an enriching beautiful relationship with Birds. Most events are widely publicized. Please contact us if you would like to schedule a presentation complete with parrots!
Thank you for the awesome years of love and support! A special THANKS to everyone who has adopted from me.
Love your parrots
Treat them like family
